NOTICE

Please take notice that on July 15, 2021, the Town Board of the Town of Cape Vincent adopted a local law to opt-out of the Town of Cape Vincent hosting retail cannabis dispensaries and/or on-site cannabis smoke shop consumption establishments within its boundaries outside the corporate limits of the Village of Cape Vincent.  Such law is subject to permissive referendum.  Anyone wishing to file a petition must do so within forty five (45) days upon the adoption of such law with the  Town Clerk.

At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Cape Vincent, held at the Town Offices of the Town of Cape Vincent, New York, on July 15, 2021 there were:

WHEREAS, this Board has commissioned Barton and Loguidice, D.P.C., to prepare a certain map, plan and report for a proposed water district within the Town of Cape Vincent to be known as the Town of Cape Vincent Water District No. 7, and

WHEREAS, the map, plan and report have been prepared by Barton and Loguidice, D.P.C., a New York State Licensed Professional Engineer, is dated August 2019, revised September 2019, further revised April 2020, as further revised June 2021 and have been filed with the Town Clerk for the Town of Cape Vincent.

NOW, on motion duly made and seconded, it is

FOUND, ORDERED AND DETERMINED that the map, plan and report prepared by Barton and Loguidice, D.P.C., for the proposed Town of Cape Vincent Water District No. 7 within the Town of Cape Vincent are dated August 2019, revised September 2019, further revised April 2020, as further revised June 2021, and have been duly filed with the office of the Town Clerk as required by law, and are available thereat for public inspection, and it is

FOUND, ORDERED AND DETERMINED that the boundaries of the proposed Town of Cape Vincent Water District No. 7 shall be as appear on the map filed with the Town Clerk and as described on the attached Schedule “A”, and it is

FOUND, ORDERED AND DETERMINED that the improvements to be constructed include transmission lines, pump stations, hydrants, water meters, appurtenances and lateral connections to transport water from the Village of Cape Vincent Water Distribution System through the Town of Cape Vincent Water District No. 4 to the improved parcels within the District, and it is

FOUND, ORDERED AND DETERMINED that the annual cost of the District to the typical property within the proposed District shall be $600.00 and the annual cost of the proposed District to the typical one or two family home within the District shall be $600.00, and it is

FOUND, ORDERED AND DETERMINED that the detailed explanation of the cost to the typical property and the typical one or two family home is contained within the Engineering Report filed with the Town Clerk, and it is

FOUND, ORDERED AND DETERMINED that the project is proposed to be financed through grant monies of up to $1,400,000 and low-cost loans to be received from the United States Department of Agricultural-Rural Development of 3,321,000 and/or up to $3,000,000 in grant monies through the NYS Environmental Facilities Corporation Water Infrastructure Improvements Act (WIIA), and it is

ORDERED that a public hearing be held the 30th day of July, 2021, at 5 p.m. at the Cape Vincent Fire Hall, Broadway, Cape Vincent, New York to hear all persons interested in the formation of the proposed Town of Cape Vincent Water District No. 7, and it is

ORDERED that the Town Clerk shall cause a copy of this Order to be published at least once in the official newspaper for the Town of Cape Vincent not less than ten (10) nor more than twenty (20) days before the date set for the hearing, and shall cause a copy hereof to be posted on the sign board of the Town of Cape Vincent maintained pursuant to the provisions of the Town Law, not less than ten (10) nor more than twenty (20) days before the date designated for the hearing.

The Cape Vincent Town Board, Village Trustees, and the Steering Committee will meet on June 24, 2021 at 6pm in the Recreation Park building to discuss the Club Street project.

There will be a rabies vaccination clinic held in the Cape Vincent Highway Garage for dogs and cats on August 17th from 6-8pm.

The Cape Vincent Town Board will hold its regular monthly meetings on the Third Thursday of each month at 6:30pm in the Recreation Park Building 602 S. James Street, Cape Vincent.

The Cape Vincent Town Board will hold work sessions on the First Thursday of each month at 6pm in the Recreation Park Building, 602 S James Street, Cape Vincent.
